Jeff Pearce had his first article published at the age of nineteen; it was about the failure of the prison system over a deranged murderer, and the story made the cover of the lurid and loud Winnipeg Sun. He went on to work in radio and television, hosting his own popular talk show, The File, and writing and producing television and editing magazines both in Canada and abroad. In 2005, he taught journalism for a brief stint in Myanmar, and in 2021, he produced investigative television segments for Balageru TV and Arts TV in Ethiopia, while Sheger FM translated into Amharic and narrated several of his articles.
